Precision grinding machine manufacturer KEHREN GmbH on course for growth: Relocation to state-of-the-art production facility
On January 1, 2022, KEHREN GmbH will close its site in Hennef and move to a new, state-of-the-art production facility in Troisdorf, 20 kilometers away. The company, which specializes in the development and manufacture of precision grinding machines and systems, will build machines there in the future on an area of over 10,000 square meters. In addition, other similar grinding services from the PRECISION SURFACING SOLUTIONS Group (PSS), of which KEHREN has been a member since 2019, will be bundled under the roof of the new site. In the future, machines from the traditional grinding machine manufacturers REFORM and ISOG (formerly Michael Deckel) will also be built in Troisdorf. The know-how and many years of experience of our employees will also be retained at the Troisdorf site. Due to the proximity to Hennef, all employees have remained on board and more will be hired due to growth. This was a decisive factor in the selection of the new location - out of obligation to our employees but also to our customers, to guarantee the usual high quality of the machines.
KEHREN, REFORM, and ISOG, together with the Elb-Schliff and aba Grinding brands, form the Surface and Profile Grinding Division (SPG) within the PSS Group. Together they specialize in the development of solutions for surface and profile machining. Against this background, the move to neighboring Troisdorf represents a strengthening not only of KEHREN but of the entire division.
"Hennef has been KEHREN's home, " said Bill Waddell, general manager. "With the move, we are now opening a new chapter in the company's history. Troisdorf offers us the best conditions for closer and better integration of the brands within the Surface and Profile Division (SPG). The aim is to pool know-how to, learn from each other and develop further together."
Furthermore, the Troisdorf site offers space for a new, first-class service warehouse for all brands of the Surface and Profile Grinding Division. Cihan Yanpinar, Global Sales Director of the Division, praises the commitment of the employees involved in the relocation: "It is thanks to our highly qualified colleagues that we are now moving into the new production facility. We have gradually moved our production and administration to the new site. With all the possibilities now available to us, we can work even more efficiently and offer our customers noticeable added value."
