Founded by Mr. Paul Kehren. Dealer for alloyed steel and subcontractor for „Deutsche Bahn“ – railway company. |

Development and manufacturing of rotary table grinding machines. |
1961 |
The son of the founder, Mr. Helmut Kehren, took over the company after the founders death. |
1980 |
KEHREN equipped the first grinder with CNC-control ( Siemens Primo SG). |
1989 |
Design and development of the vertical cylindrical grinder KEHREN Ri with indexing grinding head. |
1993 |
Mr. Helmut Kehren died. The
company was taken over by Mr. Dr. Klaus - Peter Neumann and Mr. Richard Krämer. Today
the company is still family owned. |
1996 |
Development of back-lash-free
rotary table drive for non cylindrical grinding, e.g. for curves and serration.
The first machine was delivered to INDEX company in 1997. |
2001 |
Expansion of Ri-Machines by an additional Y-Axis. Development of Double column-grinding machines. |
2002 |
Mr. Ulrich Krämer became Managing Director for Technical- and Sales-Department, Mr. Bruno Mies became Managing Director for Administration. Presentation of an Ri-Grinder with a small Y-axis in the grinding head. |
2003 |
Today KEHREN emloyes appr. 70 people. Development of new machine types. |
2006 |
Introduction of Ri 8-4 – Hardturning and Grinding |
2007 |
Introduction of an inclined-bed version for all Ri – machine types |
